About Us

The ministry of Open Doors began in 1955 when founder Brother Andrew began distributing bibles to Christians who were unable to access their own. Today, Open Doors continues to strengthen persecuted Christians in over 60 countries worldwide. We do this by:

  • Providing Bibles and Christian literature
  • Training local Christians for leadership and discipleship
  • Sustaining lives and supporting livelihoods
  • Personal encouragement to persecuted Christians
  • Speaking out in advocacy
  • Raising awareness and encouraging prayer

  1. Is it possible to leave the telephone / mobile phone field optional instead of compulsory, This field used to be optional when I made donations to Open Doors before. The reason I ask is because many charity websites require the phone number so that they can call you day after day for further donations. They don’t give up calling and drag on for a long conversation until you donate. I prayed about it and I thought my guideline now is avoiding websites that insist on your telephone number so that they can apply marketing techniques on you. Open Doors is my favourite donation website and I would be disappointed to see it using hard sell strategies like others rather than relying the Lord calling His people on compassionate basis.
